Ansoo Lake of Kaghan is one of the largest lakes in Pakistan. Due to the lake’s unique tear-like shape, it is also known as Ansoo Jheel. It attracts tourists from all over the world due to its beautiful landscape, pleasant shape, cold weather with snow, and clustered forests. Its track is linked with the Saif ul Malook lake.
The Ansoo- or tear-shaped lake, which is situated at 13,927 feet above the sea level at the bed of Malika-i-Parbat, the highest mountain range in Kaghan valley and is still untouched as tourists coming to the valley to enjoy its scenic beauty couldn’t reach there because of the difficult terrain of the high mountains. If you see Ansoo Lake from a distant place it appears as a droplet of the tear with the wider rim at one side and thinner on the other.
From the time it was discovered, it has been the favorite place of tourists from all over the world. There is a famous saying that seeing Ansoo Lake is not so common. Only lucky ones happen to see this lake. After hours of difficult trekking, sometimes the lake gets covered inside fog and blocks the view. So, it is said that only lucky ones can see this lake.
A hill comes after 5 hours of trekking and seeing at the lower side you will see this magical lake. Travel some more and reach near this lake to cherish the beauty of this lake. The best time to visit this lake is July to August as in the remaining months of the year it remains covered with the snow. Anson Lake is one of the panoramic & beautiful lakes of Pakistan. It is located near Malika Parbat in the Himalayan range in Kaghan Valley. The name “Ansoo” comes from its tear-like shape (the Urdu word Ansoo means teardrop). The lake is said to have been discovered in 1993 by Pakistan Air Force pilots who were flying at a relatively low altitude over the area. Earlier, the lake was not even known to the locals. It can be reached by a difficult trek from Saif-Ul-Muluk Lake, Naran.

آنسو جھیل
آنسو جھیل، آنسو کی شکل کی جھیل ھے، جو ملکہ پربت کے سطح سمندر سے 13,927 فٹ بلندی پر واقع ہے - وادی کاغان کا سب سے اونچا پہاڑی سلسلہ ھے ۔ سیاح اس کے قدرتی نظاروں سے لطف اندوز ہونے کے لیے وادی میں آتے ہیں ۔ اگر آپ انسو جھیل کو دور سے دیکھیں تو یہ آنسو کی بوند کے طور پر نظر آتی ہے۔ جب سے یہ دریافت ہوی ہے، یہ دنیا بھر کے سیاحوں کا پسندیدہ مقام بن گی ہے۔ ایک مشہور کہاوت ہے کہ آنسو جھیل دیکھنا اتنا عام نہیں ہے۔ اس جھیل کو صرف خوش نصیب ہی دیکھتے ہیں۔ گھنٹوں کی مشکل ٹریکنگ کے بعد اس تک پہنچا جا سکتا ہے مگر،بعض اوقات جھیل دھند میں ڈھک جاتی ہے اور منظر کو روک دیتی ہے۔ اس لیے کہا جاتا ہے کہ اس جھیل کو صرف خوش نصیب ہی دیکھ سکتے ہیں۔ 5 گھنٹے کی ٹریکنگ کے بعد ایک پہاڑی آتی ہے اور نیچے کی طرف دیکھ کر آپ کو یہ جادوئی جھیل نظر آئے گی۔ اس جھیل کا دورہ کرنے کا بہترین وقت جولائی سے اگست ہے کیونکہ سال کے باقی مہینوں میں یہ برف سے ڈھکی رہتی ہے۔ آنسو جھیل پاکستان کی خوبصورت جھیلوں میں سے ایک ہے۔
یہ وادی کاغان میں ہمالیہ کے سلسلے میں ملکہ پربت کے قریب واقع ہے۔ "انسو" نام اس کی آنسو جیسی شکل سے آیا ہے (اردو لفظ آنسو کا مطلب ہے آنسو)۔ کہا جاتا ہے کہ اس جھیل کو 1993 میں پاکستان ایئر فورس کے پائلٹوں نے دریافت کیا تھا جو علاقے میں نسبتاً کم اونچائی پر پرواز کر رہے تھے۔ اس سے پہلے اس جھیل کا مقامی لوگوں کو علم تک نہیں تھا۔
